"All The World's A Stage" is the phrase that begins a monologue from William Shakespeare's As You Like It, spoken by the melancholy Jaques in Act II Scene VII, comparing the world, and life, to a stage. A stage is where drama, excitement, beauty, and action happens. A stage is ever changing, and every moment that happens on the stage matters. Everything shifts on the stage, and different things come into focus at different points of the play - isn’t life the same? Life, the world, and time is ever progressing, but in many cases, we see life in cynical lenses or bury our heads in work, never caring to slow down to appreciate the beauty of the things, the people, the moments that flee past us. The world, in truth, is like a stage - it’s full of beauty, action, excitement, drama, and picturesque scenes - it only depends on whether you care to see them or not. We should embrace moments like these, and cherish every single second that fleets past us.
